Guan is a passionate Counseling Professional. She has a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Eastern Nazarene College holds a license in Social Worker and license in Mental Health Counseling. Guan studied Social Work at Bridgewater State University in 2010. Guan has worked in the human services field since 2004; serving families, young children, adolescents, and adults; in substance abuse, Mental Health, and Behavioral Health settings. Guan specializes in Marriage and Family Therapy, Group Facilitating, Individual/Child/Adolescent Counseling, Consultation, and Child Welfare. She really shines in the area of Trauma. During her two years as a Department of Children and Families on-going Social Worker Guan gained insight into the child protective factors that support family stabilization, reunification, adoption, and foster care disruptions.
Guan would tell you that she understands the importance of maintaining healthy relationships while building and enhancing insight into innate skills that clients already possess. This is achieved by providing an array of evidenced-based approaches such as Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and The Gottman Methods.
